"Grundvoraussetzung ist der legale, auf Dauer angelegte Aufenthalt von mindestens acht Jahren und der Besitz eines entsprechenden Aufenthaltstitels. Für Ausländer, die erfolgreich an einem Integrationskursus teilgenommen haben, reduziert sich diese Mindestaufenthaltszeit um ein Jahr. Ferner wird verlangt, daß Einbürgerungswillige sich zu den Grundsätzen der Verfassung bekennen und über ausreichende Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache verfügen." (Source)
